Shooting on cops with sparrows

(found on bildblog.de)

It could be that soon parachute-jumping rabbits, turtles with rifles and dogs with cannons attack the police in or around the Hambach Forest. It is also possible that the ants with their pit helmets are there and demonstrate for civil rights, and the bats make it clear once more on their banners that there is nothing to sell. “Bild-Zeitung” and its editor Peter Poensgen are certainly on the track of a very hot thing. more…

Hambach Forest, lofty heights and deep precipices, part 1

Original title: Hambacher Forst Hoch und Tiefbau
Building and civil engineering
“A film about the Hambach Forest, an insight into lofty heights, deep precipices, an eviction and what I have to do with it – all this happened not so long ago between Cologne and Aachen.”
Only at the beginning there is pretty much text in German, otherwise the film speaks for itself.
Part 2

Attacks by Security Guards

The report below was sent to us:

In the past few days (as of 11/14/2018), a series of attacks, in our view with high certainty carried out by employees of RWE or subcontractors, took place on the Krähennest (Crow’s Nest).

  • Nocturnal throwing of explosive devices (firecrackers etc), several times, last in the night to 11/14/2018 in the period from 0.55 to 1.15 a total of 4 pieces, by ear obviously from the ancient A4 motorway at different points in the forest. We do not judge these attacks as targeted against us but above all also directed against the forest and its animals.

Kurt Claßen Meadow situation: #ClimateJustice vs Fascist Era Expriopriation Laws

Comment by an activist

The meadow camp, which has served as a protest and resistance camp and important meeting place for activists since the beginning of the forest occupation, is now to be cleared. Kurt Claßen, owner of the property at the edge of the forest and comrade-in-arms in the fight to preserve the Hambach Forest, filed with the help of his lawyer an appeal against the eviction order by the Arnsberg district government of the compulsory expropriation, planned by RWE, which will delay the trial for the time being. In a statement by Kurt Classen on the illegality of the order of the building authority, represented by the state government, he writes that the threatened eviction order would serve to deprive the activists of the infrastructure for meetings. This violates the fundamental right to freedom of assembly more…

Excavator stopped. Today, Oct 5 at 12:00 in EastEnd.

This text was sent to us.

About 12:00, about twenty adults and children moved to the new ramparts that RWE piled up.

The ramparts are heaped up in height to about 2.50 meters with gravel and earth and provided with barrier tape. The trench directly behind it has been dredged to a depth of approximately 2.80 meters. Marking woods are labeled as “pipelines”. This inscription is not necessarily believable, because the rampart obviously serves as a barrier to prepare the enclosure of the section to be deforested next, which is currently on ice for the time being as a consequence of the current court decision. more…

Lorien Resists!! Treehouses, Mass Blockades + Tripods, Tripods, Tripods

In the last years Hambach Forest has become an international symbol of climate justice! So has every single occupation that stood firm against RWE Climate Killer coal for last several years, and continues in our hearts and our stories long after it is physically gone.

One occupation, Lorien, remains and has done so for the last 2 weeks of intense blockades involving tripods all around this tree-sit barrio reinforced by sit-down more…

Press release from the Hambach Forest – Meadow search and partial evacuation

Today, on 28/08/2018, there are partial evictions in the meadow camp of the Hambach Forest occupation as consequence of a search. The purpose of this search is to provide evidence of past actions and to seize items to carry out further actions.
As part of this mission, which began at 7:20 clock, there were over 30 sending-offs and also some arrests.
As a result of the five-day long police operation, the Hambach Forest has now been declared a danger area, ie. no people are being let in right now.

We strongly condemn the escalating actions of the police. The violence emanating from the police is in no way de-escalating, and the destruction of livelihood with the legitimation of confiscation of dangerous objects is unacceptable.
