With the threat of a penalty payment of 20-25,000 euros, the NRW regime, represented by the district of Düren, positions now their sharpest cannon to urge me to clear the protest and resistance camp on the meadow at Hambach Forest. A penalty of 20,000 – 25,000 euros, I can not come up with it just like that.
Then first off I will just have to endure any enforcement measures of the district of Düren, possibly even executions in the meadow, starting with entry of a security mortgage and subsequent compulsory auction of the meadow, more…

22:00 During today’s police operation, the meadow camp was stormed by about 100 officers with 20 vehicles and a helicopter under threadbare pretext. Based solely on the assertion of 2 RWE security guards, that a stone was thrown at them. Witnesses can confirm that this statement is false. The personal details of a dozen people were checked using force and two activists were reported on the alleged suspicion of violence. A detailed report will follow later.

“NONE AND ALL ARE SAFE” NRWE CLIMATE DYSTOPIA by Herbert Reul
Herbert Reul, the RWE (Rheinisch-Westfälisches Elektrizitätswerk) employed police chief and interior minister, fresh from staging the largest police action in North Rhine – Westphalia ever, this Monday gave a speech at, yes, “Literature Festival Against Violence” in Wuppertal. He spoke at a retirement home and instead of a table with books and an author signing his works, the lobby was full of police, there was no information or schedules nor mention of other events one usually sees at literary festivals like this even in smaller towns, instead there was private security, body guards in business suits and sunglasses. more…

On Tuesday, november 27th, at 11:10 am, the first trial day against two activists will take place before the Amtsgericht (district court) in Jülich. Wuppertal, November 19th, 2018 – At a security and crime event held as part of the “LangLese” literature festival “Against Violence”, NRW Interior Minister Herbert Reul was unable to escape questions about the recent police violence against climate activism in the Hambach Forest and mass civil disobedience by Ende Gelände.
At the question time the people brought the Minister in clear trouble explaining. Meanwhile, activists stood with their mouths taped in front of the minister in the audience and kept up photos with scenes of recent violence. Herbert Reul was visibly uncomfortable. He prohibited video recordings. more…
The rule of law takes steps
This autumn, many people have realized what meanwhile provokes in the Hambach Forest a weary nod: the police (and their brothers and sisters in arms working directly for RWE) can do whatever they want. These are not slip-ups of sadists, it obviously has system. Should others and we ourselves be deterred from doing more than “just” protesting? Should violent ecoterrorists be bred? We can not look into their heads.
So many people have come a little naively into the forest with the intention of using their democratic right to demonstrate, who now lost all faith in the rule of law, due to repression. more…
Today, on November 13, 2018, the Hambi9 who were arrested in the district of Düren were brought before the local court. After about 5 hours the verdict was spoken: acquittal for all defendants.
The charge: resistance to law enforcement officers. The Hambi9 were arrested during a police action in which “escape routes were cleared of barricades”. Some had been carried away, others had refused to come down from tripods etc.. But no useless attempts were made by the defendants to defend themselves actively against their arrest.
For the defendants UP4 & UP6, both prosecutor and defense pleaded for acquittal. On the other hand, in UP5 & UP9 the attorney had demanded a sentence of 50 daily sentences a 12 Euro. The deadline for appeal is one week.

Hambi9 – The History at a Glance
During last forest walk (11/11/2018), two police officers participated. Constant calls and transpis made these contact officers realize that they had no business in the forest and then they went away towards the end of the walk.
What it means to people when police are in the forest can be difficult to understand for many people who have not had much to deal with police and were not involved in the evictions. For weeks the forest was besieged by hundertschaft-units (Units of the federal security alert police of about hundred officers), SEK, eviction tanks. Week-long eviction, that means sleep deprivation for many nights, psychological pressure and stress, to see how your friends are beaten up and the destruction of your home. This psycho terror by the police in recent months had traumatic consequences for many people. The Hambach Forest was and is a living space for many people, above all, a free space, which it is no longer, when police are walking by the forest.
Today there were many small rounds in which the topic “police in the forest” was discussed energetically and emotionally. Since many participators in the forest walk could not understand why we react this way, we want to make it clear once again, since today it was not really the right place nor enough tranquility for a detailed discussion of the topic. more…

With a little delay, a report on an incident on Sunday, Oct 28th, 2018
On Sunday evening, a railway blockade by Ende Gelände activists was violently evicted. A train with prisoners from this blockade was stopped by two people in a lock-on and came only to a standstill immediately before the blockade. This gave the police opportunity to a new misrepresentation and accusations of the activists. As we can read in the police press release: more…
