Three of the #Lausitz23 still in custody!

A few days ago activists of Ende Gelände blocked a bucket wheel excavator in one of the Lusatian open cast lignite mines. Three of them are still in custody, though the accusation is only trespassing. Obviously the district court in Cottbus does not care that in the past again and again activists were therefore acquitted in court (since the open pit is not fenced).

If you necessarily need a date for the coal exit: – Now!

This post was written shortly before the commission mentioned below published its results. As you may see, it is still very actual!
Opinions and thoughts of a group of people from the forest about the upcoming end of the commission on growth, structural change and employment

This commission is also known as coal-commission. This term is often been used in the public to create a false presentation. The exit of coal is just one of many topics, which is also just being discussed under “economical aspects”. Also the commission is talking about how to follow the aims for climate protection and the reduction of the CO2-emissions. For us it’s a mystery, how they want to reduce emissions, since they are actually talking about growth. more…

Climate activism is not a crime

Eighteen activists were in custody – after having prevented with their bodies bucket-wheel excavators in Lusatia (East Germany) from continuing to dig lignite. Nine have now disclosed their personal details and are set free, 9 others are still imprisoned. Every bit of lignite that we extract and burn makes it less likely that we will stay below the 1.5 °C target. Every bit of lignite we can block from being burnt makes it more likely that we will still be able to sustain our livelihood and eventually create a good life for all. more…

Let’s go there all of us, to show them that solidarity is our strongest weapon

Prisoners-Letter-Writing-Survial-Tricks

It’s not always easy to write letters (especially if you don’t know them personally). So here are some ideas. If you have some more, that aren’t listed, feel free to add.

Any funny or crazy things happened to you lately? Or someone told you something? Doesn’t matter if it seems trivial. Stories are Stories! Just keep in mind that the cops are reading, too.

Shooting on cops with sparrows

(found on bildblog.de)

It could be that soon parachute-jumping rabbits, turtles with rifles and dogs with cannons attack the police in or around the Hambach Forest. It is also possible that the ants with their pit helmets are there and demonstrate for civil rights, and the bats make it clear once more on their banners that there is nothing to sell. “Bild-Zeitung” and its editor Peter Poensgen are certainly on the track of a very hot thing. more…

Skillsharing camp spring 2019 – Save the Date

Hi, we have good news for you. We, a group of activists from the field of the occupation of the Hambach Forest, are planning – after the large-scale eviction of last autumn, which lay as a big shadow over the last Skillshare – the traditional spring skillsharing camp again, right inside forest and meadow. So mark the period from 12.04.2019 to 24.04.2019 fat in your appointments diary. We have tried to cover as many holiday periods as possible during this period in order to enable young people who are forced to spend their time in educational institutions to participate.

If you already have questions or you are people from the immediate vicinity of the occupation who can imagine helping with the organization, then write to skillsharing.hambacherforst@nullriseup.net.
