Call to Hanau

This is a mirror of a call written by the communities most affected by the recent fascist, racist and misogyn terror in Hanau

After Björn Höcke called for a coup last Monday, Tobias R. got into his
car in Hanau and murdered ten people who were non-German in his eyes.
This violence is horrible, but nothing new, not even that migrant
people, families, communities are being hit … more…

Eviction and Death – long term effects of repression

Let us talk about repression. The life as a political active person in hambach forest belongs between the most beautiful times many of us got to experience – and leads just as often to the most horrible moments. We, who are writing this text, don’t talk about cold winter nights on semi-build plattforms; not about consecutive days of nothing but bread and tofu; not about arguments in relationships or lovesickness. … more…

A few thoughts on the current situation around Hambacher Wald

Briefly after the news reached us that the German government has imposed a new coal legislation, a press statement was released on this blog. Call from Latin America – COP25, social movements and climate justice

Coalition of Climate Justice Movements
A common declaration on climate crisis, energy transition and extractivism in Latin America.

Social movements were already organising their opposition to COP25 – in which those most affected by climate violence would be sidelined – even before the popular mobilisation started in Chile and Sebastián Piñera suspended the talks.

A cent into the gear of repression

On October 7th, 2018, shortly after the clear cutting stop, an activist gave a speech during the forest walk, in which among other things she called to continue fighting against coal despite the clear cutting stop. Now, more than a year later, she was fined € 600 (60 daily sentences of € 10 each) for “calling for crimes”. We deliberately did not mobilize for the law suit on a large scale, as … more…
